Scholarship Information
The UA Foundation offers multiple scholarships exclusively for UA seniors.
Scholarship for Alumni Success (SAS)
The Scholarship for Alumni Success through University Academy Foundation is funded by John Isenberg and Tom Isenberg. The brothers were fortunate to have the opportunity to attend college and pursue careers in business. They believe strongly in education and this is their way of “paying it forward.” It is their hope that the recipients will be successful and at some point “pay it forward” to others, whether it be their own children or someone else.
David Roseburr Vocational Scholarship
This scholarship is provided by David Roseburr, a 2005 graduate of University Academy who went to a vocational school after graduating from University Academy and now owns a successful landscaping business. David struggled to pay for his vocational school tuition and wishes to alleviate this burden for others. Additionally, he wishes he had someone experienced in the trades to guide him as he navigated his career and that is why he is committed to providing ongoing mentorship to the scholarship recipient.
The Roseburr Vocational Scholarship through University Academy Foundation (UAF) is a competitive scholarship available exclusively for University Academy students. This scholarship is intended to reduce the financial burden of attending a vocational school to learn a trade. The scholarship provides a one-time $1,000 award as well as mentorship during and after graduation from the vocational school. The award will be paid directly to the recipient’s education institution.
The awardee will be announced at University Academy’s Senior Night.
Jacobs Engineering STEAM Scholarship

UA Foundation’s Top 15 Scholarship
The Top 15 Scholarship is intended to aid University Academy graduates who take on the challenge of attending a top college or university by relieving the financial burden which can accompany matriculation at highly selective institutions. All UA alumni who attend a top 15 national liberal arts college or top 15 university (ranked by US News & World Report) are eligible for a last-dollar scholarship of up to $25,000 per year. If the unmet need is less than $25,000 per year the student will also receive a semester stipend of up to $2,500 per semester.
If you have been accepted and are planning to attend a Top 15 school please contact Tamra Gibson at tamra@uafoundationkc.org for next steps.
