Summer Bridge & College Send Off Events
Summer Bridge
The Summer Bridge event, hosted by UA Foundation, combats summer melt (summer melt is when college-intending students fail to enroll in the fall after high school graduation) among UA’s new graduates, featuring speakers from local campuses, UA alumni and parent panels, food, fellowship, and UA Foundation updates.
A college transition checklist has also been created to ensure UA graduates are on track to successfully begin college in the fall.
College Send-Off
Each year, University Academy Foundation hosts College Send Off to help prepare and celebrate the recent UA graduates going off to college. There is music, food, photo opportunities, college swag, and helpful college transition information from UA alumni currently in or recently graduated from college. This event is usually hosted during the first week of August.
