Summer Internship Program
University Academy Foundation’s Summer Internship Program connects UA alumni currently enrolled in college with meaningful, PAID summer internships. These summer internships are essential experiences for college students to achieve their career goals upon graduation. UAF partners with a variety of Kansas City area businesses and nonprofit organizations to provide UA alums with a diverse range of exclusive summer internship opportunities. Through a combination of coaching, training, exposure, and high expectations, our goal is to prepare exceptional interns to be ready to contribute and motivated to succeed.

Program Features
Internship Program Orientation
A two-day event in May for the interns to receive training and professional development in preparation of their internship.
Internships
Alumni participate in part- and full-time 8-week internships with Kansas City area employers in June and July.
Career Exploration Events
Each Wednesday afternoon in June and July, interns participate in career exploration and professional development opportunities.
Concluding Dinner
At the end of the summer, interns are invited to give presentations on their summer internship and possibly win a cash prize. Interns, their families, business partners, and direct supervisors are invited to attend.
