Julius A. King was the commencement speaker for UA’s graduation in 2022. He was as inspiring a speaker as he is a man! After UA, Julius chose to continue his education at The Lincoln University of Missouri, a Historically Black University, where he earned a bachelor’s in Criminal Justice. After college, he moved to Texas and began work in private security. However, he still had a strong longing for further education and wanted to make a strong impact on his community.
In 2016, Julius decided to follow in the aspirations of Llyod Gaines, and attend law school. With no formal preparation classes, he bought an LSAT prep book online and studied for countless hours. His determination paid off and he received a high score and was admitted to the University of Missouri, School of Law. Upon graduation, Julius earned his Juris Doctor, won best in Trial Practice and was inducted into the Order of Barristers, an honor society for United States law school graduates. In 2020, Julius founded his own legal practice, King Legal and Consulting, LLC based in Columbia, Missouri. He currently lives in Jefferson City, Missouri, and practices law in Mid-Missouri.
